The YA New York Times best-selling book was written by Jamie McGuire. It has made the bestseller's list in numerous countries such as France, Spain, Brazil, Australia, the UK, and Italy. been published and translated in thirty-eight countries.
Voltage Pictures is involved in the film adaptation. Directing the film and writing the script will be Roger Kumble. Mark Clayman, Brian Pitt, and Jonathan Deckter ( President and COO of Voltage) are involved with producing the project . Nicolas Chartier, Lucas Jarach, and McGuire are EPs.
