Here is a statement about that experience:
"Before we left Florida, I bumped into one of the individuals who used to tease me during high school. He asked for a selfie. I gladly obliged, but it felt peculiar. He may have forgotten what he did, but I certainly haven't."

Throughout his career, Ritchson has starred in numerous superhero series and action-packed blockbusters. He recently appeared in Titans and Fast X. However, the actor disclosed that during his upbringing, he was a late bloomer who did not participate in sports, and he struggled to fit in with the small community of Niceville, Florida. So, he encountered his fair share of bullying.
He goes into detail about his past:
"Initially, my physical appearance was different from what it is today, and I found joy in expressing myself through music, singing, and inline skating. Unfortunately, it was not an ideal match for a place where most guys sported mullets and arrived at school on four-wheelers. Being a very late bloomer, I used to pray for hair growth on my legs and underarms."
He recalled a particularly embarrassing incident in the high school cafeteria where a student ridiculed him for his hairless legs while he was wearing gym shorts.
"In that moment, the entire cafeteria erupted in laughter. I was utterly humiliated."
Ritchson is the star in Reacher, an Amazon Prime Video TV series based on the best-selling books by Lee Child.
