Unkel, a former executive at 20th Century Fox, has completed the feature script based on Knowles's memoir titled "Racism From the Eyes of a Child" and is now prepared to present it to the market. Leading the project's development alongside Unkel is Howard Kazanjian, producer of the original "Star Wars" trilogy. Throughout his career, Knowles has collaborated with Grammy-winning artists such as Destiny's Child, Solange, Chaka Khan, and Earth Wind & Fire. Knowles also holds multiple degrees, including two undergraduate degrees, an MBA, a PhD, and Professional Development Certifications from Harvard University.Two of Knowles's five books have become best-sellers on Amazon. Currently, he serves as a faculty member at both the London College of Contemporary Music and Pepperdine University. Knowles is represented by Buchwald and his manager, Karon Tunis.
Knowles' memoir "Racism From the Eyes of a Child," was published in 2017. The plan is to turn the book into a feature film as well as a limited series. The film will focus on the first half of the book, depicting Knowles's formative years growing up amidst the racial tensions of Alabama in the early 1960s. As one of only six black students attending an all-white school, Knowles participated in peaceful protests where he endured significant hardships, including being burned with a cattle-prod and being arrested four times in a single day.
