The TV series "Big Little Lies," is based on Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name and first premiered its debut season in 2017. Set in Monterey, California, the show centers around a group of women portrayed by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz, who find themselves entangled in a murder investigation.
The second season (aired in February 2019) included three-time Oscar-winner Meryl Streep to the main cast as the mother-in-law of Celeste, Kidman's character.
Witherspoon won a Golden Globe in 2018 for her work in "Big Little Lies," where she not only acted but also served as a producer.
