The biblical world of faith-based "The Chosen" is set to grow even further. Creator Dallas Jenkins has unveiled a range of upcoming television projects, including animated series, unscripted spin-offs, and a three-season narrative exploring the lives of both Moses and Joseph.
Jenkins shared these exciting developments during the ChosenCon fan convention held in Orlando. One project is "The Chosen Adventures", a 14-episode animated series that centers on 9-year-old Abby residing in the Galilean town of Capernaum around 30 CE. Abby, a curious young girl, is brimming with questions about her world but is struggling to find satisfactory answers. Everything may change when she and her best friend, Joshua, cross paths with Jesus. The voice cast include Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird), Yvonne Orji (Insecure), and Jordin Sparks, alongside familiar faces from The Chosen, such as Jonathan Roumie, Paras Patel, Elizabeth Tabish, Noah James, Joey Vahedi, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Brandon Potter, and George H. Xanthis.
Additional projects currently in the works are a three-season series that focus on the life of Moses, a limited series that explores the life of Joseph, and the next installment of The Chosen, which will focus on the Acts of the Apostles. These ventures are being produced by Jenkins' newly-established production company, 5&2 Studios.
