Nicotero is excited about adapting McCammon's novel, expressing his admiration for the author's stories. He described Swan Song as a captivating story that explores survival in a world forever transformed by political distrust, international intrigue, and supernatural forces.
Recognized with the prestigious Bram Stoker award in 1987, Swan Song stands alongside Stephen King's Misery as a masterpiece of post-apocalyptic literature. Barnett, Powell, and Patel jointly expressed their enthusiasm for the projec and believe that this TV adaptation will bring the story to life like never before. They couldn't ask for better partners than Greg and Brian, particularly considering Nicotero's experience in expanding fictional universes through his work on The Walking Dead.
