Here is a statement from Paris Hilton about her memoir:
“In the book, I really go into depth about what happened to me at Provo Canyon School and being there and experiencing that trauma, and being told by the staff in these places that I would never amount to anything. I want anyone to know who has been through what I’ve been through in the troubled teen industry at these types of – I don’t even want to call them schools — these hellholes. That you are not your trauma, and you can really use that to give you the drive to make things possible. I feel like what you put out into the world will come back to you.”

Here is another statement Hilton said on how personal the book will be:
.
“I talk about my entire life and everything that I’ve been through. And it’s definitely difficult to do, to have to re-live some of the moments but also fun moments, too. I’ve been in this industry for over two decades now and for a lot of the time the media was the one telling my story. And a lot of the time it wasn’t true or was exaggerated or just completely invented. And now, especially with this book, I am taking back my power and my narrative and telling the true story. Because there’s just so many misconceptions and lies and just stupid rumors out there that aren’t true. And I just tell what really happened.”
Hilton added that one of the topics she talked about in her memoir is that “anything is possible’, and she hoped that her book might help other teen girls like she was, who is going through similar trauma.
