Novelpro Junkie's exclusive photos and video of the world premiere of the book-based film "The Thicket" in Los Angeles are here ( BTW, thanks to Kasey Lansdale). Cast members including Oscar-nominated actress Juliette Lewis attended the festive event. From the photo, Lewis made her red carpet entrance with a white dress featuring a bold leg slit. The actress complemented her outfit with white court shoes, elegantly posing at the AMC The Grove 14 event. Beside her is the man of the hour, the author himself, Joe Lansdale. The very reason why this movie existed in the first place. The idea of the story sprung from his imagination. It's telling by the photo that Juliette Lewis pointed her finger at Landsdale to make sure everyone knew that all of this started with him.
Lansdale has expressed to other news outlet that his favorite director is Walter Hill. Hill directed the hit films 48 Hrs. and its sequel, Another 48 Hrs. Both films star Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. Hill attended the premiere as well.
Here's a fun fact about a cast member of The Thicket. Twenty-two year old Levon Hawke is the son of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. He was also present at the premiere. The Thicket is his third film in the business.
Earlier reported on Novelpro Junkie's celebrity chapter, Lansdale had a screening of "The Thicket" the day before the World Premiere in a theatre owned by author George R.R. Martin ( best known for author of "Game of Thrones" book series).
You can check out The Thicket, which is in theaters right now. Below is the film trailer:
