“As you awake with morning's hush,

I am the swift, up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand by my grave, and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.” #LoveStory pic.twitter.com/0pNPBNsVbR
After debuting as FX’s most-streamed limited series to date, book-based, series adaptation "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette" has continued to draw strong viewership.
The show has now surpassed 65 million hours watched across Hulu and Disney+. According to Disney, that figure reflects global viewing, with 40% of the audience coming from outside the United States.
The March 26 finale, titled “Search and Recovery,” became the most-watched episode of the series. Disney reported that the finale saw a 20% increase over the previous episode and a 90% jump compared to the premiere, based on each episode’s first day of streaming.
The rising popularity of Love Story over the course of its run has also brought in new audiences to the premiere, which has now surpassed 14 million views across FX, Hulu, and Disney+.
Social media engagement has been especially strong, with Disney reporting that TikTok searches for John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette surged by 9,100% in the past month. The hashtag #lovestory has also generated tens of millions of posts worldwide.
Here is the book synopsis of "Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy" by Eliazabeth Beller:
A quarter century after the plane crash that killed John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette, and her sister Lauren, the tragedy still resonates. Yet Carolyn remains an elusive figure, long defined by harsh media scrutiny and misogynistic portrayals.
In a modern reassessment, Elizabeth Beller paints a more complete picture—revealing a woman who was independent, stylish, ambitious, and complex. Thrust into the spotlight during her relationship with Kennedy, Carolyn endured relentless paparazzi attention that often distorted her image, casting her unfairly as cold or superficial.
In reality, she built a successful career in fashion, rising at Calvin Klein through talent and determination. Drawing on extensive research and firsthand accounts, this biography reframes Carolyn as a multifaceted individual whose life and legacy extend far beyond the myths surrounding her.
