Netflix has secured the rights to adapt a novel titled "The God of the Woods" into an hour-long television series. The novel was written by Liz Moore and it's known to be a favorite book for both former U.S. president Barack Obama and singer Taylor Swift. The author herself Liz Moore and Liz Hannah (The Girl From Plainville) are co-showrunner of the project and serve as writers and executive producers. The series is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and Original Film.
