The Clueless sequel series starring Alicia Silverstone is a go. Paramount+ has greenlit the limited series from Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Jordan Weiss, and CBS Studios. Production is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in 2027.. The original movie starred Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd.
Schwartz, Savage, and Weiss are writing the series and executive producing alongside Alicia Silverstone, original Clueless writer-director Amy Heckerling, and producer Robert Lawrence. Schwartz and Savage executive produce through their Fake Empire banner, while Weiss also serves as an executive producer.
The series premise has remained unchanged: Set 30 years after the original film, the series finds beloved Beverly Hills icon Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) thriving in adulthood. She's built a successful career and embraced motherhood with confidence—until her daughter reaches high school. Suddenly, navigating the challenges of raising a teenager leaves Cher feeling "clueless" all over again.
