"This book was a great thriller. I really liked the concept of it and it certainly was pretty scary. It is a short read but it was jam packed with action and suspense. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat or pretty much the whole story. It starts out with a past murder, and then shifts into present day- where all the action begins.
What I liked most about this story was that it was so fast paced. Since it was a thriller/suspense story, I appreciated that there were no slow parts. And because of this, I never got bored, everything was moving in this book. It was a short, fast read- but a ton of stuff is packed into the 120 pages. I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. I also appreciate that there were some deaths. Not that I enjoy the death of characters, or anything, but it helps a story seem more realistic. If you have a book and there are killers running around (especially in a single house) and every single person in the
story survives; it is not very likely. So I enjoyed the realistic element. It also kept me on my toe, wondering if my favorite characters would make it out.
I also really liked the way that "house trap" was designed. the details of everything were fantastic. This book is well written and flows really nicely. I could picture the house in my mind and see the kids all running from room to room.
This book is a great, fast read for someone that is looking for a suspense/thriller. 4/5 Gavels
