Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is now number two after ruling the box office for three weeks! so far it has made total (international and domestic) of $822 million. The movie has passed Spider-Man to become Sony's fifth film of all time. The film stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Bobby Cannavale. The film only cost $90 million to make. Unbelievable! and may I remind you that the source material from this movie is from a book. Without the book existing, none of this would've been possible. All the reason why books are the way to go to get the next great idea. If originality is lacking in Hollywood there's always flood of great ideas to be made into a movie from short stories (e.g. The Minority Report, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, etc.), novelettes ( The Birds, etc.), novellas (Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, etc. ), novels( Forrest Gump, Gone Girl, etc. ). I can't wait to hear more news about book-based movies. Take care and I hope to see you all hear again.
