Last but not least the director of The Revenant, and The Martian got nominated as well. I hope The Martian wins at least one award that night. The movie deserves to and it would bring attention to self-publishing work everywhere. I'm quite pleased by the attraction it got from the golden globe. I bet Andy Weir is quite happy to see his work getting this attention. Hopefully he would be invited to the event as well as he very well deserves it.
As for the critics' choice awards, here are the book-based movies that got nominated:

P.S. And as Andy Weir's day couldn't get any cooler President Obama stated that his favorite movie is The Martian!!!!! which ( I think) is the ultimate cool. If the president loved a movie based on something I wrote i would be over the moon about it. Can you imagine the president or maybe even someone important or famous say that House Trap or any movie based on what i wrote is their favorite? I would just give a little dance, probably dust off my shoulders and drop the mic. It is done... i've made it:) That kind of announcement would make my year. so i know Andy Weir is feeling really happy (bet it's more than happy but I wouldn't know i'm not Andy Weir. But I sure know he ain't sad, not the least bit:)
Take care guys and thanks for always making time to visit my blog and actually reading what i got to say.
